A prolific writer of all forms, Claire is a published journalist, author, and screenwriter.
Her articles have appeared in international film & media magazines SciFiNow and Death Ray, and she has written for a host of websites including SyFy online, Infinity Plus, and Broad Universe. She has also written on a wide variety of other topics, including architecture, interior design, travel, food, and the international property market.
She enjoyed three years as Features & Production Editor for Matrix Magazine, the British SF Association's media publication, and wrote several articles for Matrix's sister publication Vector.
Her involvement in Britain's SF scene lead to her joining the judging panel for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the UK's most prestigious award for science fiction literature, in 2007 and 2008. SciFiNow interviewed her about her experiences as an Award Judge in their April 2009 issue.
In terms of fiction writing, Claire's short story, "The Tollhouse", was published in 2008 by NewCon Press, in the women-only sci-fi anthology Myth-Understandings. The Tollhouse received a positive review in TTA Press's The Fix, and she recently adapted the story into a short film script.
Claire relocated to Los Angeles in 2008, bringing her dark tone and edgy British wit to the US film and television industry. Since then, Claire's original TV pilot, "Virus", placed in the top three finalists of the Exposurama Screenplay Contest 2009, and her short film script, "House of Solomon", was filmed in October/November 2010.
She has worked as a Research Assistant on a historical drama feature film, volunteered at a Set Decorators Society of America event, and has been a Script Reader for several agencies/development companies. She has written many contest-winning screenplays and directed several short films.
Claire is also an experienced Graphic Designer and Publicity Adviser. She enjoys designing websites, managing events, and running international publicity campaigns for artists, musicians, and authors. Please take a moment to view a selection of her projects and campaigns.
Claire currently resides in Los Angeles where she enjoys playing golf, growing vegetables, and collecting ads inspired by the "Got Milk?" campaign.
